Advanced Obedience - $199

Expanding on skills learned in Beginner Obedience class, students will enjoy enhancing the bond with their dog through challenging games and relationship building exercises. Advanced obedience class prepares dogs for off-leash reliability and training around high levels of distractions. Focus will be placed on creating a well mannered and obedient dog that can accompany their owner to places such as patio dining, hiking trails, and farmers markets. Emphasis is placed on a dog that heels naturally at the handler’s side, stays from a distance while the owner is distracted and can recall from a distance past distractions. Following the AKC’s Community Canine guidelines we will train the 10 steps of the CGCA. Dogs will have the option to be tested at the conclusion of class to receive their Community Canine Title.

Dogs must have attended Saragold’s basic obedience course to enroll in advanced obedience or achieved their Canine Good Citizen certificate via outside training prior to enrolling.

Dogs must be up to date on Rabies, Combo, and Bordetella vaccines

No Human or Dog Aggressive dogs allowed   

Please bring your dogs favorite treats or toy, a collar and leash (4 or 6ft) and your proof of vaccination to the first night of class
